R. Scott Walker

Scott joined Mercurio Walker in 2017 as a Financial Advisor, bringing nearly two decades of industry experience. He has since become vital to our planning services and client relationships. Scott believes in thoughtful planning before making decisions, working closely with clients to identify their values and goals and develop strategies to achieve their retirement dreams.

Previously, Scott worked in the health, life, and disability sectors, supporting clients’ insurance goals. He also served as Operations Director for a financial advising firm. These experiences revealed both the pitfalls of poor financial planning and the opportunities available to clients.

Scott is detail oriented, research focused, and methodical. Guided by his faith, Scott encourages clients to focus on doing the right thing rather than acting quickly. Scott earned his Bachelor and Master of Arts from the University of Louisville. He holds Life & Health insurance and Series 65 licenses. He and his wife, Cathy, have two daughters and a rescue dog. In his free time, Scott enjoys hiking and nature photography.
